English Language Instruction
The Latin American Association's English as a Second Language Program is based on the idea that students must be active participants in their learning and work together cooperatively to sucessfully acquire the target language. Our instruction focuses on learners' strengths and on real communication and life skills. Learners work together in pairs and small groups, as well as individually and as a whole group, and courses integrate all skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening.
We offer morning and evening classes at our location on Buford Highway in Atlanta. We also offer onsite ESL classes for employers wishing to offer classes onsite for employees.
Spanish-English intercambio
Once a week, each English class meets with its sister Spanish class for an Intercambio. This involves doing one activity completely in Spanish and one activity completely in English. The intercambio provides a unique opportunity for students to practice and reinforce their newly acquired language skills with native speakers of the target language.
Our translation services in English and Spanish cater to individuals, nonprofit, government and corporate clients in Georgia. Using our network of professional translators we can translate a wide variety of documents and projects. For a free estimate call Paula Chiodi at (404) 248-2209.
