Career services

The Department of Career and Educational Services empowers Latinos to successfully attain their employment goals through providing placement, education and advocacy services. Specifically, these services include:

• Individual career development, placements and assessments
• Free job readiness seminars.
  The seminars are mandatory for anyone who wants to use our employment services.
  Seminars are held at our Buford Highway location on Mondays and Tuesdays at 2:00pm and Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:00am.
• Education and referral services relating to unemployment, wage and hour disputes, discrimination, and workers’ compensation

• Bilingual recruitment services
• LAA Job Bank, an online job board for bilingual job seekers
• Cultural diversity training
• Pre-employment language assessments
• Use of our facilities for exclusive Career Days or Interview Sessions
• Annual professional job fair
• Annual entry-level job fair
